Werkplaats Walter is celebrating the Belgian Music Week, because music from here is something we want to support and cherish. Not two, but three bands were selected from 80 submissions. They will work in Walter’s brand-new studio and perform for a live audience. And honestly? One week is too short for Belgian impro: our third band performs on 14 May.

Jazz and the poetry of Federico García Lorca. Barbastelle experiments with a renewed trio format and three guest musicians: Basques Beñat and Julen Achiary, and saxophonist Grégoire Tirtiaux.

The third band - Laurence Cousseau Quintet - will perform on 14 May.

The foyer doors open at 7:15 PM.
Concerts start promptly at 8:15 PM.
Evenings with two sets end no later than 10:30 PM.
That way, those travelling by public transport can still get home easily.
