During their residency in Werkplaats Walter, Anton Lambert, Arto Van Roey and Elias Durnez explored on ways in which video can react to live electronic music. Does the dynamic between the music and the video arise from improvisation? Or does the video function as a score to the music? Does the dialogue between the two media foster a substantial interaction, where the distinction between the leading element and the responding element disappears?

Two intense residency weeks with artists Gustave Demoen and Casper De Geus aka Achiel De Vlerk resulted in a further elaboration on what has become a new project: rhizoma.

In the summer of 23 we took over a deserted parking lot at Place Bizet. BB: Bizet Bizar!

Bizet Bizar! Samen met Dear pigs, en MUS-E Belgium toverden we de afgelopen maanden een kaal parkeerterrein in de Anderlechtse wijk Bizet om tot een parktuin met bergen, bijenholletjes en bloemenvelden. Je vindt het terrein aan de Bergensesteenweg 987 in Anderlecht.

Werkplaats Walter! Want in juli 2023 werd Bizet Bizar ons open-air-impro-podium. Open air, open ears, en veel geweldige muzikanten. WW dus.

Le Jardin de Jordi! Want Bizet Bizar was vier donderdagen in juli de speeltuin van Jordi Grognard. Jordi nodigde in zijn jardin trouwe kompanen uit om zijn muzikaal universum te installeren tussen de Muzikantenwijk en Quartier Bizet. Hupla!

The event Le Jardin De Jordi took place in an open area without much shelter. Our last edition on Thursday July 27th had to be cancelled due to loads of rain and wind (oh yeah, this lovely summer 23!). So: the winter edition of the Bizar Voices is here now during our residents weekend and some extra Rare Vogels are welcome in the program: 360° (Fr)e(a)s/zy listening with music for hiccups by Nicola Lancerotti and Chiara Bacci, neatly covered indoors at Walter!
