For the second time, students of Frederik Leroux’s free improvisation class at the Antwerp conservatory will be opening the monthly jamsession. They will present a long duration piece with plenty of slow evolving sound textures and nuances for the listener to dwell into. The instrumentation of this ensemble, half-acoustic half-electric, challenges the players to dive into fresh and uncharted territory, while maintaining the soothing logic of the ‘drone’.
