The Raf Vertessen Quartet is an active band in the New York avant-garde scene;. Shortly after moving to NYC in 2016, Raf formed his quartet with Anna Webber on tenor saxophone, Adam O’Farrill on trumpet and Nick Dunston on double bass. Raf uses different composition tools to organically structure free improvised music. By using this unique approach, his music has a constant changing and remarkable character.
